USAG Ansbach is seeking a qualified recreation program specialist to develop and implement outdoor recreation activities at the Katterbach Outdoor Recreation Center in Germany. The role requires knowledge of recreation programs, ability to lead groups, and strong customer service to service members and families.

• Experience or a combination of experience and education that provided knowledge of goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs.
• Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.
• Strong ability to lead groups in outdoor recreation activities and develop programming.
• Best Qualified will have driving license and relevant certifications.

This position is located at USAG Ansbach - MWR, Katterbach Outdoor Recreation Center, Katterbach, Germany.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

• Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
• Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

• Obtain and maintain a valid Class 2 license (D or DE) to drive vehicles and vehicles with trailers
• Possess work experience and/or certifications leading groups in outdoor recreation activities such as climbing, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, archery, paint-ball, cycling, and bicycle maintenance
• Possess 1 - 2 years experience in creating and executing a variety of outdoor recreation specific programming to a small and large group of participants
