Job summary

Samaritan Hospital - Macon, MO seeks a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and assist with CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include patient transport, positioning, and operating radiology equipment across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science.
• Six months radiology experience preferred but not required.
• Registration or eligibility by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• CPR certified and strong patient orientation.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Assist all patients on and off the x-ray/CT tables.
• Positions patients for specific diagnostic exam.
• Regulates and controls exposure of radiation to obtain a diagnostic radiograph.
• Assist Radiologist during fluoroscopic and special procedures.
• Documents proper patient history for all radiologic exams.
• Operates mobile x-ray equipment, CT and x-ray machines.
• Performs x-rays and CT scans on emergency callbacks, weekends, and holidays on a rotational schedule.

Position summary: Primarily responsible for obtaining a diagnostic radiograph while maintaining patient care and safety.

General purpose: Patient care; quality assurance.

Role Qualifications

Education

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science

Experience

• Six (6) months previous experience preferred but not required.

Licenses/Certificate

• Registration/registration eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist.

Position Responsibilities
