Zusammenfassung

ABB is seeking a senior embedded software expert to lead architecture and lifecycle for the Melody Controller platform. You will drive modernization, cybersecurity and maintainability while coordinating with Product Management, Architecture and cross-functional teams.

You will own complex features end-to-end, support critical customer issues, mentor engineers, and participate in PI Planning and Release Planning within a hybrid work model in Germany.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of embedded software and firmware development in industrial automation or control.
• Strong C/C++ with real-time OS (VxWorks) experience.
• Experience with industrial protocols and diagnostics integration.
• Knowledge of software quality, cybersecurity, configuration management and compliance.
• Experience with SAFe/agile processes in global teams.
• Fluent English and German in business contexts.

You will provide technical direction for complex product topics, working closely with Product Management, Software Architecture and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business and product requirements into sustainable technical solutions.As a senior technical expert, you will be a key point of contact within Research and Development for complex product-related topics, lifecycle challenges and critical customer and field issues.
