Quantum Software Engineer

European Tech Recruit are working closely with an exciting Quantum Computing startup, based in Munich, who are looking for a talented Quantum Software Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new software features and automated tests.
• Collaborate and share knowledge effectively within a dynamic team environment.
• Integrate and automate testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain clear, consistent documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Continuously explore emerging technologies and deepen your understanding of quantum computing.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field.
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, Rust, C++, C, Java (other languages are welcome).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong interest in physics and quantum computing.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
• Fluent in English and German (C1 level, written and spoken).
• Hands‑on experience with low‑level or close‑to‑hardware software development.
• Deep expertise in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience working in Scrum or other agile development frameworks.
• Relevant industry experience in software or quantum computing.
• Contributions to personal tech projects or open‑source software.
