Constructor TECH in Europe seeks a PhD physicist to lead quantum simulation and atomic platform work, blending modelling, calibration, and software tools to extend a product used by researchers.
You will model many-body systems, develop and validate neutral-atom and trapped-ion methods, and cooperate with hardware partners and university colleagues to publish and secure grants.
Location: Remote within Europe, with regular presence in Bremen
Direct Reports: None; supervision of students possible
Working Model: Remote / hybrid. Regular time on-site in Bremen.
Lead our work on quantum simulation and atomic platforms. The role covers modelling and simulation of quantum many-body systems, model-based calibration of atomic hardware, and optimal control, combining research with a software product that puts those methods into other people’s hands.
Pillar 1 Simulation and Modelling
Success Metrics and KPIs: model accuracy against measurement, methods delivered into the product.
Pillar 2 Hardware Engagement
Accountability: calibration methods that work on real systems, not only in simulation.
Pillar 3 Research and Teaching
Success Metrics and KPIs: publications, collaborations established, grant applications supported.
