Zusammenfassung

Tesat-Spacecom GmbH & Co. KG is seeking an experienced engineer to join our quantum technology team within the optical systems engineering department. You will develop optical and quantum communication components and test laser setups for satellite missions, while collaborating with multi-partner teams.

The role requires hands-on lab work with lasers and opto-electronics, plus strong customer engagement and international collaboration skills. Fluent in English and German is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in physics, photonics, optical engineering or related STEM fields.
• Several years of experience in optical communications, laser physics or quantum tech.
• Hands-on experience with lasers, opto-electronics, free-space and fiber optics.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD (preferred) degree in physics, photonics, optical engineering or related STEM fields
  
• Several years of experience in the field of optical communications, laser physics or quantum physics/technology
  
• Hands-on experience with lasers, opto-electronics, free-space and fiber optics
  
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  
• Willingness to work in a team in multi-partner project structures
  
• Willingness to actively engage with customers and international organizations
  
• Fluent in English and German
