Quantum-Systems GmbH in Göppingen seeks a Quality Inspection Technician UGV to inspect Mandrill UGVs across the production process, document results with full traceability, and contribute to scalable, repeatable LAND production. Qualifikationen

• Completed technical vocational training, e.g. Quality Technician, Mechatronics Technician or Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, or several years of quality inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting mechanical and electrical assemblies, ideally in automotive, mechanical engineering, robotics or related industries.
• Proficiency with inspection equipment and reading drawings, BOMs, and inspection instructions.
• Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, and RCA is advantageous.
• Strong quality mindset and willingness to escalate deviations.
• Structured, diligent, and detail-oriented work style with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Good German; English beneficial in an international environment.
• HV/ESD experience or calibration processes are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of Mandrill UGVs and components according to QI procedures.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components, wiring, assemblies, and payload/interface integrations.
• Document all inspection results in Operations1 with full traceability.
• Identify, document, and escalate deviations; initiate containment and rework actions.
• Support CAPA investigations with Quality Engineering.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and use only approved tools.
• Contribute to validation builds and LRIP ramp-up to stabilize quality and production output.
• Provide shopfloor feedback to improve inspection procedures and plans.
• Collaborate with Production, Industrialization, Engineering, and Logistics for smooth handovers.
• Adhere to ESD, HV, and site regulations for a safe work environment.

As a Quality Inspection Technician UGV (f/m/d), you will be part of our Quality Team for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) at our Göppingen site. You will inspect technically advanced UGVs throughout the entire production process, document inspection results with full traceability, and directly contribute to transforming our LAND production from prototype-based builds into a robust, repeatable, and scalable series production environment.

You will work hands-on with the vehicles while collaborating closely with Production, Industrialization, Engineering, Testing, and Logistics teams. By following approved inspection instructions, ensuring complete traceability, and actively providing shopfloor feedback, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of both product quality and quality processes.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, assemblies, and complete Mandrill UGVs according to approved Quality Inspection (QI) procedures.

• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components, wiring harnesses, assemblies, and payload/interface integrations.

• Consistently document all inspection results in Operations1, ensuring complete digital records and full traceability.

• Identify, document, and escalate deviations through the defined quality and deviation management process, including initiating containment and rework actions.

• Support root cause investigations and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in close collaboration with Quality Engineering.

• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring that only approved tools and measuring devices are used.

• Actively contribute to validation builds and Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) ramp-up activities, supporting the stabilization of quality, cycle times, and production output.

• Provide shopfloor feedback to improve inspection procedures, inspection plans, and quality methods.

• Collaborate closely with Production, Industrialization, Engineering, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth handovers and rapid problem resolution.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while complying with applicable ESD, high-voltage (HV), and site-specific regulations.

What you bring to the team:

• Completed technical vocational training, for example as a Quality Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, several years of relevant experience in quality inspection.

• Experience inspecting mechanical and electrical assemblies, ideally in the automotive, mechanical engineering, robotics, or related industries.

• Proficiency in using inspection and measuring equipment such as calipers, torque wrenches, and multimeters, as well as reading technical drawings, bills of materials, and inspection instructions.

• Good understanding of common quality methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa (Fishbone Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis is an advantage.

• Strong quality mindset and the willingness to stop and escalate issues when deviations occur rather than bypassing standards.

• Structured, diligent, and reliable working style with strong attention to detail.

• Open and professional communication skills and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Logistics teams.

• Good German language skills; English skills are beneficial for working in an international environment.

• Ideally, experience with high-voltage (HV) systems, ESD requirements, or calibration processes.
