Quantum-Systems GmbH is seeking a Production Technician UGV (m/f/d) for its Göppingen site. You will assemble, integrate, test, and document unmanned ground vehicles as part of transforming LAND production into a robust serial process.

You will work hands-on with vehicles, collaborating with Industrialization, Engineering, Quality, Testing and Logistics, following WI/QI and ensuring full traceability and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical vocational training or several years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on skills in mechanical assembly and system integration.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and HV systems is a plus.
• Ability to read technical drawings, BOMs and work instructions; meticulous digital documentation.

As a Production Technician UGV (m/f/d), you will be part of our production team for unmanned ground systems at our Göppingen site. You will assemble, integrate, test, and document technically advanced UGVs, playing a key role in transforming our LAND production from prototype-based manufacturing into a robust, repeatable, and scalable serial production environment.

You will work hands-on with the vehicles while collaborating closely with Industrialization, Engineering, Quality, Testing, and Logistics. In this role, you will consistently follow approved work and inspection instructions, ensure complete traceability, and actively contribute shop floor feedback to the continuous improvement of both the product and the manufacturing process.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Assemble, integrate, and commission Mandrill UGVs and future LAND platforms in accordance with approved work and inspection instructions.

• Perform mechanical assembly, electrical and electronic integration, wiring, cable harness installation, battery integration, and payload/interface integration according to your qualifications.

• Execute all production steps in compliance with current work instructions (WI) and quality instructions (QI) in Operations1, including complete digital documentation and full traceability.

• Conduct in-process inspections, functional testing, fault analysis, rework, and repairs, while consistently escalating deviations through the defined Quality and Deviation Management process.

• Perform and support defined end-of-line, calibration, and system tests; depending on qualifications, also assist with final functional and maiden-run testing.

• Verify material availability and workstation kitting, proactively identifying and escalating missing or non-conforming parts in collaboration with Logistics and Quality.

• Actively participate in validation builds and Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) ramp-up activities, supporting the stabilization of quality, cycle times, and production output.

• Provide shop floor feedback to improve work instructions, inspection procedures, tooling, workstation design, and production flow.

• Collaborate closely with Industrialization, Engineering, Quality, Testing, Logistics, and Prototyping teams to ensure smooth handovers and rapid problem resolution.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workplace while complying with all relevant ESD, high-voltage (HV), lifting/crane, battery handling, and site-specific regulations.

What you bring to the team:

• Completed technical vocational training, such as Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Industrial Mechanic, Automotive Mechatronics Technician, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, several years of relevant manufacturing experience.

• Strong hands‑on technical skills and experience in mechanical assembly and system integration. Experience with vehicles, machinery, robotics, specialty vehicles, or unmanned systems is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, cable harnesses, and troubleshooting; experience with high-voltage (HV) systems is a plus.

• Ability to read and work with technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and inspection procedures, combined with a highly conscientious approach to digital documentation.

• Ideally, qualifications or experience in high-voltage systems (HV), ESD protection, lifting and crane operations, testing and diagnostic systems, CAN bus communication, calibration, or vehicle commissioning.
