Advantest Europe GmbH in Böblingen seeks a Quality Engineer Regulations (m/f/d) to ensure product safety and compliance across the life cycle. You will work within the Product Compliance Team, liaising with suppliers and internal groups to meet legal and customer requirements.

The role covers NPIs, transfers, and certification activities with external bodies, translating regulatory needs into robust processes.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of IEC 61010-1, IEC 60204, IEC 61326 and EU directives (Low Voltage, EMC, Machinery Safety, RoHS).
• Experience in product testing and compliance certifications.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to the Product Life Cycle Process.

Aufgaben

• Work within the SoC Test Supply Chain Division within the Product Compliance Team.
• Consult for all affected organisations and suppliers to ensure products are safe and meet legal requirements.
• Accompany NPIs and manufacturing transfer activities.
• Manage third‑party bodies (CSA, TÜV) for compliance assessments and certification.
• Involve in CPE activities and influence product and process design for safety and risk assessments.
• Interpret regulatory compliance requirements and integrate into the Product Life Cycle Process.
• Develop and implement Product Market Access plans including product regulations and environmental test plans.
• Participate in Product Regulations and Compliance industry activities (e.g. ZVEI, IEEE, SEMI).

Responsibilities

• Work within the organisation of the SoC Test Supply Chain Division within the Product Compliance Team.
• Responsible for cross‑functional collaboration with and consulting for all affected organisations and suppliers to ensure our products are safe and meet all applicable legal requirements, internal requirements, and customer expectations.
• Accompany new product introductions (NPIs) and manufacturing transfer activities.
• Manage third‑party competent bodies (CSA, TÜV) for compliance assessments and certification.
• Involve in CPE (Current Product Engineering) activities and influence the design of products and processes to ensure safe products, including safety and risk assessments.
• Interpret regulatory compliance requirements and integrate them into our Product Life Cycle Process.
• Develop and implement Product Market Access plans, including product regulations and environmental test plans (e.g. product compliance and robustness testing).
• Participate in Product Regulations and Compliance industry activities that benefit Advantest and our customers (e.g. ZVEI, IEEE, SEMI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of product safety and EMC standards (e.g. IEC 61010‑1, IEC 60204, IEC 61326) and European directives (Low Voltage, EMC, Machinery Safety, RoHS).
• Experience in product testing and compliance certifications.
• Outstanding product compliance knowledge and good business acumen.
• Analytical skills to drive corrective actions based on KPIs.

• Strong background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
