Heraeus Quarzglas Bitterfeld GmbH & Co. KG in Bitterfeld-Wolfen is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team.

You will develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, conduct supplier and internal audits, and drive corrective actions to ensure top product quality. Candidates should hold a technical bachelor’s degree (industrial engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or related) with strong analytical skills.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Master’s degree or PhD is advantageous.
  • Certifications in quality management (QMF, QMB, QM-Auditor) are preferred.
  • English at least B2 level; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards and processes to ensure high product and process quality.
  • Conduct audits including supplier audits and derive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality data to identify weaknesses and initiate improvement projects.
  • Manage the complaint process with customers and suppliers for timely resolutions.
  • Qualify and develop suppliers and components, plan tests and analyze results.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team at the Bitterfeld-Wolfen location. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and processes that ensure the highest product and process quality. Your responsibilities will include conducting internal and external audits, including supplier audits, and deriving corrective actions to address any identified issues. You will analyze quality data and trends to identify weaknesses, initiate improvement projects, and monitor their successful implementation. Managing the complaint process with customers and suppliers, ensuring effective resolution of quality deviations, will be a core part of your duties. Additionally, you will qualify and develop suppliers and components, plan tests and analyses, and evaluate results to enhance overall quality performance. Leading sub-projects within your field, preparing documentation and presentations, and participating in cross-departmental projects will further define your role. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving document and process management systems, managing change processes, conducting training sessions, and advising other departments on quality-related issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise directly impacts product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a completed technical or scientific Bachelor’s degree, such as in industrial engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or related fields. A Master’s degree or PhD is advantageous. Additional certifications in quality management, such as QMF, QMB, or QM-Auditor, are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong quality consciousness, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively. Analytical skills are essential, with the capacity to analyze complex data swiftly and accurately. Proficiency in English at least at B2 level is required, and knowledge of SAP is considered an advantage. Experience with quality management systems, auditing, and process improvement methodologies will be highly valued. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement are key attributes for success in this role.

Providing expert advice and support to other departments on quality-related matters will be essential to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
