Zusammenfassung

AIDA Cruises is seeking a seasoned QA leader to own the QA strategy for a critical business application at our Rostock HQ. You will drive end-to-end testing, build scalable UI/API automation, and lead external QA partners while collaborating with Development, Architecture, and Product teams.

The role requires 8+ years in QA with strong leadership, Agile/DevOps experience, and hands-on automation. Travel to Germany and Italy is expected in this international environment.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in QA for complex software systems, incl. vendor and team lead responsibilities.
• 5+ years hands-on in test automation (framework design, CI/CD integration).
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and DevOps/Shift‑Left.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for planning, defects, test management.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments (Azure) and automation tools (Selenium).

Aufgaben

• Ensure end‑to‑end test lifecycle coverage (SIT, regression, UAT, smoke, API/contract, performance).
• Build and scale UI and API test automation; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage external QA providers and collaborate with Development, Architecture, Operations and Product.
• Coordinate test environments, data, regression plans and release calendars across stakeholders.
• Coach business teams in structured UAT cycles; ensure audit‑ready QA documentation.
• Drive continuous quality improvement through RCA, defect reviews and quality gates.
• Position requires regular travel to Teams in Germany and Italy.

Your chartered goal

• Own the QA strategy for a business‑critical application, including quality targets, test processes, KPIs, and risk‑based testing approaches
• Ensure end‑to‑end test lifecycle coverage, including SIT, regression, UAT, smoke tests, API/contract testing, and performance/load testing
• Build and scale test automation for UI and API testing and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Manage external QA providers and collaborate closely with internal teams such as Development, Architecture, Operations, and Product
• Coordinate test environments, test data, regression plans, and release calendars across all stakeholders
• Support and coach business teams in conducting structured UAT cycles
• Ensure audit‑ready QA documentation and drive continuous quality improvement through RCA, defect reviews, and quality gates
• Position requires regular travel to Teams in Germany and Italy

Your previous ports of call

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex software systems, including 4+ years of vendor and team lead responsibility
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in test automation (framework design, CI/CD integration, automated regression)
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery models (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and DevOps / Shift‑Left principles
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for planning, defects, and test management
• Knowledge of cloud‑based testing environments (e.g., Azure) Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium) and frameworks, along with the ability to develop test plans and cases
• Exposure to containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals (e.g., JMeter, OWASP Top10 guidelines)
• Fluent English (C1+); German is a plus
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• High sense of ownership, accountability, and service orientation
