Python Full Stack Engineer (Azure)

We are currently hiring for an experienced Python Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Python, modern web frameworks, and Microsoft Azure cloud services for one of our client in Munich, Germany.

The role focuses on building robust backend services, developing RESTful APIs and microservices, implementing Azure API Management (APIM), and developing serverless applications using Azure Functions. The position also involves frontend development, cloud service integration, application security, performance optimization, and collaboration with DevOps and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

This role is suited to a hands-on full stack engineer with strong Python development expertise, practical experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django, and working knowledge of Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, databases, and modern software development practices, along with the ability to contribute across backend, frontend, and cloud application components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python as the primary programming language.
• Develop backend services and applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop frontend components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with React or Angular where required.
• Implement and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), including API policies, security configurations, and versioning.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions.
• Integrate applications with Azure cloud services such as Azure Storage, Key Vault, and Service Bus.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design, manage, and optimize application data.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security by following established engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, test, and optimize applications across backend, frontend, API, and cloud components.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver business requirements effectively.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Follow coding standards, testing practices, documentation guidelines, and software engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned development activities and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Required Skills / Primary Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python development.
• Expertise in at least one Python web framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, development, and integration.
• Good knowledge of microservices architecture and backend application development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Practical experience developing and working with Azure Functions for serverless computing.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of application security, scalability, performance optimization, and error handling.
• Good debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into maintainable, production-ready solutions.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, testing, and code quality practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

Additional Skills

• Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to React JS or Angular for frontend application development.
• Experience integrating Azure services such as Storage, Key Vault, and Service Bus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms is an advantage.
• Understanding of cloud-native application design and deployment on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with automated testing, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them to real-world enterprise application development challenges.

Education

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent professional experience in software development may also be considered.

Compensation

• Salary: Up to €65,000 per annum.

We are looking for candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days. Candidates with strong hands-on Python development experience, practical knowledge of Azure API Management and Azure Functions, and the ability to work across backend, frontend, and cloud components will be preferred.
