Merck KGaA in Germany is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Controller to support our Process Solution Business in Commercial EMEA. This strategic finance partner will drive profitable growth through data-driven insights and robust forecasting.

You will develop dashboards, analyze pricing and product mix, and collaborate with Finance, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, and Franchises to enable strategic decisions in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifikationen

This strategic role partners closely with Commercial to drive profitable growth through data-driven insights and financial excellence. You will identify growth opportunities, optimize business performance, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment. As a trusted finance business partner to Commercial Leadership with a focus on the Central region in EMEA, you will deliver actionable insights through data analytics and financial performance analysis. You will develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that enable effective decision-making. You will lead benchmarking analyses across products, regions, customer segments, and competitors to identify best practices and performance improvement opportunities. You will analyze pricing, product mix, and commercial investments to maximize profitability. You will provide financial support for forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling. You will identify commercial risks and opportunities, translating complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior leadership. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, and Franchises to ensure alignment and execution.

Who you are :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or Economics
• Several years of experience in Commercial Finance, Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in large data set analysis
• Demonstrated expertise in benchmarking and business analytics
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and Contour
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decision-making
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic international environment
