Zusammenfassung

Isar Aerospace SE is seeking a Propulsion Development Engineer in the Engine Valves Team to design and procure valves for the propulsion system. You will create CAD models and drawings, oversee production and testing from prototypes to serial production, and manage requirements while traveling to test facilities as needed.

You will be involved in prototyping and development testing, collaborate with propulsion teams to define specifications, and ensure reliability through design reviews and data

Qualifikationen

  • MSc/Eng in aerospace or mechanical engineering required.
  • Hands-on testing experience and post-test data review.
  • Experience in machining processes and drawings.
  • CAD proficiency in SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
  • Python or similar programming language knowledge.
  • Systematic approach to analyzing and resolving engineering problems.
  • Rocket propulsion passion and space interest.
  • Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Willing to travel to support testing operations.

Jobbeschreibung

As Propulsion Development Engineer in the Engine Valves Team, you will design and procure valves for the propulsion system. This includes creating CAD models and drawings, overseeing production and testing from prototypes to serial production, and managing requirements. You will be actively involved in prototyping and development testing and may need to travel to Isar’s test and launch facility locations.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

  • Demonstratedability to address engineering tasks through a structured and solution-orientedmethodology
  • Define the requirements and specifications for the valve in collaboration with the involved Propulsion teams
  • Calculate and design valves based on requirements and conduct design reviews
  • Prepare and organize the manufacturing of valves and address manufacturing issues
  • Oversee andoptimizethe assembly of your valves
  • Plan, supervise, and evaluate valve tests, including development acceptance, qualification, and integrated testing
  • Participatein and supervise integrated system tests and analyze the data
  • Ensurecomponentand system performance and reliability throughout the valves’ lifecycles by development tests, design reviews, and post-test data analysis

Qualification Checklist

  • M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Hands‑on experience with testing preparation, operation, and post‑test data review
  • Experience in machining processes and creating drawings
  • Proficiencyin CAD software (preferably SolidWorks or Siemens NX)
  • Knowledge of Python or similar programming languages
  • Systematic approach to analyzing and resolving engineering problems
  • Demonstrated ability to address engineering tasks through a structured and solution-orientedmethodology
  • General understanding of rocket designand passion for rocket propulsion and space
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on multi‑disciplinary and cross‑functional teams
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented
  • Motivated and eager to learn
  • Willing to travel to support launching and testing operations
