Zusammenfassung

OHB SE in Munich is seeking a proposals manager to lead and support proposal preparation across contract values and customer types (ESA, EC, DLR, etc.). The role focuses on delivering high-quality proposals on time and within cost targets.

You will head the proposal team, ensure formal and informal customer requirements are addressed, pass reviews, and contribute to trainings and KPI monitoring to boost proposal success.

Qualifikationen

• Must have completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent.

• Organize in-house trainings on the proposal process.

• Manage / Support the preparation of proposals; inter alia (depending on the specific proposal, the candidate will have to either take full responsibility or only support the different tasks):
• Lead the proposal team towards the delivery of a proposals, on quality, time and cost
  • Ensure that the proposal properly answer to the customer requirements; both formal requirements (conditions of tender, technical, programmatic, financial requirements, etc) and unofficial customer needs (technical, programmatic, financial, contractual, industrial, political, etc)
  • Ensure that the proposal passes all the required reviews (content and cost) and that expectations of all internal stakeholders are reflected
  The candidate shall expect to face proposals of a large variety, in terms of contract value, vertical (EO, Navigation, Exploration, Telecom, Space Transportation, etc.) and customers (ESA, EC, DLR, other agencies, BW, commercial entities, etc.).
• Contribute to the organization and execution of in-house trainings on the proposal process
• Contribute to the maintenance of proposal-related key performance indicators, evaluation of proposal statistics and support of definition of measures (in co-ordination with department lead)
• Support the improvement of proposal processes, proposal quality and thus likelihood of proposal success

Your Qualifications

• Hard requirements:
  • Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification (i.e. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics)
  • Strategic acting: Entrepreneurial thinking and acting with strong emphasis on quality and cost
  • Strong experience in proposals management (3 years +) with Institutional customers
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS suite (VBA coding, high-level skills with MS Word) and of advanced editing tools (Adobe, InDesign)
  • Very good communication skills in oral and written English

• Additional competences considered strong assets:
  • Experience in cost engineering
  • Experience in the space sector; commercial space sector as a plus
  • Background in system engineering and project management
  • Knowledge of German; any other European language as plus
