Job Description

An opportunity for a Project Quality Manager (PQM) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space. The selected candidate will join the Cyber Quality Germany Team in Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn or Friedrichshafen/Immenstaad.

The position holder is in charge of the end-to-end Quality Management for selected Cyber (software and hardware) driven Programs/Projects.

As a Project Quality Manager you will play a key role in meeting and exceeding customer expectations by managing the interface to the customer quality representative and contributing to On Quality, On Time and On Cost delivery.

🚀 YOUR MISSION (Tasks and responsibilities)
  • Plan, monitor, and execute Quality Management project activities such as developing the Quality Plan and implementing quality requirements from the customer contract.
  • Serve as the Customer/authorities Quality focal point.
  • Conduct reviews to assess maturity of deliverables.
  • Promote Quality awareness within the project teams.
  • Tailor processes inline with the Business Management System.
  • Perform or orchestrate all Quality roles, including budget.
  • Foster a preventive mindset by anticipating potential Non‑Quality issues.
  • Manage Non‑Conformities, including Root Cause Analysis, to protect the customer.
  • Enable and initiate improvement across projects and programs.
🎓 YOUR SKILLS
  • Education: Software, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering / Economical degree or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 8 years working experience with an optional minimum of 3 years in Quality.
  • Soft skills: Communicative, confident, cooperative, responsible, analytical, and able to prevent/identify/solve problems.
  • Languages: Advanced level in German and English.
  • Technical knowledge: Cyber/IT/programming, quality management, problem solving.
  • Valuable / Nice to have: experience in Project Management, LEAN and/or Lean Six Sigma.
