Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Frankfurt seeks a Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead major Data Centre construction projects. You will oversee cost, schedule and budget, manage substation work, and coordinate between the general contractor, vendors and the client on site.

The role requires a construction-related degree, at least four years in project management, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and fluent English with German at B2 level. You will travel 3-5 days on-site as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Construction-related academic qualification in PM/engineering/surveying or architecture.
• 4+ years of project management experience in construction projects; data centre experience preferred.
• Advanced skills with spreadsheets, report writing and presentations.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent English and at least B2 German; willingness to work on site at construction locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets.
• Manage substation projects (mid-voltage).
• Oversee General Contractor and other vendors and consultants.
• Analyze and track critical milestones to avoid schedule slips.
• Lead client and other required meetings.
• Identify factors influencing construction costs and monitor/report data.
• Support engineering decisions during design-build changes.
• Review payment requests.
• Record occurrences that might result in claims on behalf of the client.
• Coordinate project information flow between team and client via meetings and written communications.

We are seeking for a Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Team in Frankfurt on major Data Centre construction projects:

• Manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets.
• Manage substation projects (mid-voltage).
• Manage General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors and consultants.
• Analyse, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
• Run and lead client and other required meetings.
• Identify the factors that influence construction costs and can monitor and report on this data.
• Support engineering decisions relating to the project cost and budget while design-build changes take place during construction.
• Review requests for payment.
• Record occurrence that might result in a claim - acting on the client’s behalf.
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.

Qualifications

• A constructionrelated academic qualification /degree (e.g. construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture).
• Min. 4yearsof working experiences in project management for construction projects;experiences in Data Centre constructionspreferred.
• Advanced skills with spreadsheets, report writing and presentations.
• Strong and professional communication skills, with great organization skills, ability to multi-task.
• Must have a “team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required.
• Fluent in English, min. B2German level.
• Available for 3-5 days working from construction site.
