Rheinmetall sucht eine erfahrene/n Senior-Project-Manager/in zur Leitung internationaler Schiffbau- und Verteidigungsprojekte. Sie fungieren als zentrale Ansprechperson, koordinieren Teams und steuern Budget, Termine und Qualität über nationale und europäische Standorte hinweg.

Sie bringen mehrjährige Führungserfahrung in internationalen Großprojekten der Verteidigungsbranche, ideal mit Schiffbau- oder Luftfahrtbezug, sowie Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse mit.

Qualifications

Abgeschlossenes Studium in technischer oder betriebswirtschaftlicher Fachrichtung.
PMI- oder IPMA-Zertifizierung von Vorteil.
Mehrjährige Führungserfahrung in internationalen Großprojekten, ideal im Verteidigungssektor.
Erfahrung in Schiffbau oder Luftfahrt von Vorteil.
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.

Responsibilities

Schnittstellenmanagement zwischen internen und externen Stakeholdern, inkl. Behördenkontakte und Subunternehmer, sowie Überwachung der Projektdurchführung vor Ort auf nationalen und internationalen Standorten.
Definition von KPIs zur Messung der Projektleistung und Unterstützung der NVL-Teams bei der Implementierung effizienter Prozesse, Reporting-Standards und Organisationsentwicklung.
Analyse unternehmensweiter Prozesse auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene, Behebung von Abweichungen und Standardisierung von Richtlinien.
Proaktives und lösungsorientiertes Vorgehen zur Optimierung bestehender Prozesse und zur Beschleunigung von Arbeitsabläufen im Projektkontext.

Job description

Would you like to take on responsibility in an international project environment and help ensure that naval ships remain reliably operational and are built cost-effectively? If so, a challenging position awaits you here, offering plenty of creative freedom, clear responsibilities, and close collaboration with clients, departments, and suppliers across Europe.

In this role, you will operate as the primary point of contact for the project and as the liaison between the project teams of the participating departments, coordinating the timely and high-quality implementation of the project within the defined budget.

Your position in our crew:

Managing interfaces between internal and external stakeholders, including communication with authorities and subcontractors, as well as overseeing on-site project execution at national and international locations
Defining clear KPIs to assess project performance and supporting NVL teams in implementing efficient processes, reporting standards, and organizational development initiatives
Analyzing company-wide processes on both national and international levels, addressing discrepancies, and establishing standardized guidelines to ensure alignment
Utilizing your proactive and solution-oriented approach to optimize existing processes and actively contribute to the acceleration and improvement of project-related workflows

WAS SIE MITBRINGEN SOLLTEN

A bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, such as naval architecture, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, maritime technologies, or business administration - or a comparable qualification
Certification in PMI or IPMA is an advantage
Several years of experience in senior project management roles, ideally within international projects in the defense sector and managing large-scale budgets
Professional experience in the shipbuilding or aerospace industry, as well as working with government institutions, is desirable
A cooperative and participative leadership style with the ability to inspire employees toward innovation and results-oriented work
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Excellent communication skills in both German and English
