Zusammenfassung

north.io GmbH in Kiel is seeking a Project Manager to take over customer projects from Sales, steer them through to acceptance, and ensure a smooth handover to operations. You will craft realistic project plans, lead the team, and manage decision points with documented outcomes.

Fluent German and English are required. A security clearance may be needed. Hybrid work with customer visits is offered in a growing ocean-data tech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent in German and English (both).
• Experience leading projects with external customers.
• Ability to build robust project plans that withstand real-world changes.
• Understand commercial impact of delays, scope changes, and who pays for them.
• Clear written communication; decisions are documented.

Aufgaben

• Takeover a customer project at handover from Sales and run it through to final acceptance and transition into operations.
• Build a project plan reflecting reality—schedule, resources, budget—and keep it current when reality changes.
• Lead your project team professionally; there is no disciplinary reporting line in this role.
• Prepare and run the decision points of your project: handover, release, acceptance. Each one needs a decision and a document.
• Manage change orders. Additional work happens on the basis of an order, not goodwill.
• Escalate early. A risk you report three weeks before it lands is a decision risk; the same risk on the day it lands is damage.
• Keep project data accurate—status, effort, forecast. This data feeds weekly delivery reporting and monthly leadership reporting.
• Be the operational counterpart for your customer’s project management.
• Feed learnings back into our delivery process—where it works and where it does not.

Theprojectsthatdeliverthesesystemstocustomersaregettinglarger. Software,hardwareandcustomeroperationsarrivein the same plan, andthatplanhasto hold.WearebuildingupourPMO androllingoutonedeliveryprocessacrossallcustomerprojects—definedphases,defineddecisionpoints,definedartefacts.

• Youseethecommercialconsequence:whatadelaycosts,whatascopeincreasecosts, whopaysfor it.
• Youwriteclearly. Adecisionthatisnotdocumenteddidnot happen.
• German and English,bothfluent.Ourteamworksin English; a largepartofourcustomersdo not.
• A security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung nach SÜG) may be required for this position and therefore your eligibility is a key criteria.
