1. Project Context and Scope

The Project Management Center of Excellence provides project management expertise, methods, and best practices across various organizational units. The Infrastructure Service Projects division delivers and oversees programs and projects related to distributed and centralized IT infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders.

The role operates within complex IT infrastructure and service environments, supporting project delivery, coordination, and quality assurance across multiple technical domains.

2. Responsibilities

• Provide project support services in complex IT infrastructure and IT service projects, with a particular focus on technical infrastructure initiatives.
• Coordinate procurement activities and onboarding processes for project team members.
• Plan, organize, and independently manage events and activities for the Project Management Center of Excellence.
• Conduct project controlling activities related to schedules, milestones, and budgets; ensure implementation of quality assurance measures.
• Identify, communicate, and coordinate dependencies, changes, and risks within project planning.
• Support project managers and contribute to special topics and ad-hoc tasks.
• Maintain and prepare project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, personnel lists, communication lists, absence lists, and delegation schedules.
• Set up and conduct regular project communication routines, including meeting coordination and documentation management.

3. Qualifications

Languages

• German:C1 level according to CEFR (certificate required unless native speaker)

Technical & Tool Skills

• Proficiency in MS Project, Outlook, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with SharePoint and JIRA
• Evidence via CV, training records, or certificates

Education

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, an IT-related Bachelors program, or a recognized IT vocational qualification
• Alternatively: at least 6 years of professional experience in the IT field
• Proof via certificate, diploma, or equivalent

Project Management Expertise

• Knowledge and practical experience in classical and agile project management
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in complex organizations, IT programs, large-scale IT projects, or software development projects
• Accepted certifications:
  • IPMA Level C, PMI PMP, or PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Scrum PSM / PSPO or PMI CAPM
• Alternatively: 6 years of relevant experience with equivalent qualifications

PMO & Leadership Experience

• Several years of experience in a PMO environment, including rollout projects
• Strong skills in moderating and presenting complex topics
• Experience in leading teams in a functional capacity
• Experience in event management is a plus
• Minimum:
  • 2 years of experience after an academic degree, or 5 years after vocational training

4. Professional Experience Requirements

• Proven experience in organizing or managing medium- to large-scale projects within the IT sector
• Strong knowledge of established project management methods
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in IT project or PMO roles
