Project Manager - SaaS Deployments - Early Career
About the role
ZONTAL is a Scientific Data Management platform that helps life-science organizations harmonize and govern their research data. As an early-career Delivery Manager, you’ll coordinate small to mid-size customer deployments, align cross-functional teams, and ensure projects land on time, on scope, and on budget. You’ll learn our domain (scientific R&D, data pipelines, lab systems) while practicing disciplined project execution and excellent customer communication.
What you’ll do
- Plan & run software + project deployments: Build and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports across one or more concurrent projects.
- Own outcomes: Track quality, timeline, and budget; escape risks early and drive mitigations to resolution.
- Facilitate delivery: Organize and lead standups, Agile sprint reviews, and backlog grooming for ZONTAL project teams; ensure clear scope and acceptance criteria.
- Delight customers: Host recurring touch points, capture decisions, manage action items, and drive change-request processes, summarizing and communicating outcomes with transparency.
- Coordinate resources: Forecast effort, request assignments, and sequence work across Solution Owners, Data Engineers, and Support.
- Release readiness: Orchestrate release planning, cutover checklists, and go-live communications; support hypercare.
- Continuously improve: Capture lessons learned; propose process improvements to our delivery playbooks and cross-team communication.
- Report & communicate: Produce concise weekly updates, executive readouts, and milestone reviews for internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with Customer Success to ensure customer outcomes.
- Ensure compliance & quality: Follow internal standards and state-of-the-art software delivery practices; contribute to audit-ready documentation.
