Project Manager – Data, Digital & Technology (Europe)

Location : Germany (remote)

Contract type : Freelance (12 month contract - full time)

Day rate : €700 / day

Role

A leading international services organisation delivering critical operations across Europe is seeking a Project Manager to join its Data, Digital & Technology team. This is a key opportunity to contribute to a major digital transformation programme supporting operations across multiple sectors, including government and defence.

You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex technology projects, driving consistency, value, and change across diverse geographies in a fast-evolving environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and deliver IT and digital projects to agreed scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Lead cross-functional teams that include internal staff and external suppliers across different countries.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining strong governance and documentation.
• Ensure consistent communication and alignment across all stakeholders.
• Monitor project budgets and supplier costs, ensuring financial and operational performance.
• Support senior management with clear reporting and presentations on project status and outcomes.

About You

• Strong background in IT project management, delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Technical understanding across areas such as Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS) , M365 , Infrastructure , Applications , and Data Management.
• Experience in one or more of the following is desirable :
• Cloud transformation (on-prem to Azure)
• Migrations (identity, mail, device, or fileserver to SharePoint)
• Implementations of systems such as ServiceNow , ERP , or HR platforms
• Experienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery, with strong JIRA skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management up to C-level, with experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English and German (C1 or native).
• ITIL knowledge or consulting experience is an advantage.
