Project Manager – Data, Digital & Technology (Europe)

Contract type : Freelance (12 month contract - full time)
Day rate : €700 / day

A leading international services organisation delivering critical operations across Europe is seeking a Project Manager to join its Data, Digital & Technology team. This is a key opportunity to contribute to a major digital transformation programme supporting operations across multiple sectors, including government and defence.
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex technology projects, driving consistency, value, and change across diverse geographies in a fast-evolving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and deliver IT and digital projects to agreed scope, time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders across business and technology functions.
- Lead cross-functional teams that include internal staff and external suppliers across different countries.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining strong governance and documentation.
- Ensure consistent communication and alignment across all stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets and supplier costs, ensuring financial and operational performance.
- Support senior management with clear reporting and presentations on project status and outcomes.
About You
- Strong background in IT project management, delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Technical understanding across areas such as Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS) , M365 , Infrastructure , Applications , and Data Management.
- Experience in one or more of the following is desirable :
- Cloud transformation (on-prem to Azure)
- Migrations (identity, mail, device, or fileserver to SharePoint)
- Implementations of systems such as ServiceNow , ERP , or HR platforms
- Experienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery, with strong JIRA skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management up to C-level, with experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and German (C1 or native).
- ITIL knowledge or consulting experience is an advantage.
