Job summary

Nexperia Germany GmbH is seeking a Project Planning and Delivery lead in Hamburg to manage end-to-end project plans across management levels and stakeholders.

You will ensure quality, monitor execution, lead cross-functional teams, and drive risk mitigation, budget control, and continuous improvement in a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, preferably in microelectronics or semiconductor physics.
• PMI certification or similar is beneficial.
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams in matrix organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall project plan in consultation with management levels and stakeholders.
• Responsible for implementation and realization according to the project plan and within agreed boundaries (specification, quality, timing, costs, information/reporting and organization).
• Ensure that relevant quality standards for own projects are defined and met; monitor and control execution.
• Define competencies and resources needed and build a high-performing project team; provide operational guidance.
• Analyze project risks and develop scenarios to overcome risks.
• Manage all requested changes and execute the change management process.
• Define project budget, ongoing cost control, and transparent financial tracking.
• Transparent project reporting with status updates and presentations for senior management; ensure effective communication flows.
• Initiate and contribute to quality improvement activities and cross-organizational learning.

Project Planning and Delivery

• Define the overall project plan in consultation and agreement with all relevant management levels and stakeholders
• Responsible for implementation and realization according to the project plan and within agreed boundaries (Specification, quality, timing, costs, information / reporting and organization)
• Ensure that relevant quality standards for own projects are defined and met, monitor and control execution of own projects

Cross Functional Team Management

• Define competencies and resources needed and build a high-performing project team. Take team leadership including operational guidance and conflict management

Risk and Issue Management

• Analyze project risks regarding specifications, costs, timing, etc. and develop & incorporate scenarios to overcome these risks

Change Management

• Manage all requested changes and execute change management process

Cost and Budget Management

• Define project budget, ongoing cost control, and transparent financial tracking throughout the project

Reporting, Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Transparent project reporting, including concise status updates and approval presentations for senior management, effective communication flows, and proactive stakeholder engagement

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

• Initiate and contribute to quality improvement activities related to business processes & procedures
• Upgrade and adapt own competence, use cross organizational sharing and learning within the teams and the group of project leaders

This is you

• University degree in an engineering field, preferably in microelectronics or semiconductor physics
• Minimum 3 years of proven track record in successful management and delivery projects, depending on educational credentials
• Proven leadership qualities in leading project teams in an intercultural environment
• A strong understanding of risk management, change management, resource planning and budget management including CAPEX and product cost control
• PMI certification or similar is beneficial
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and packages is a plus
• Experience of managing diverse, cross-functional project teams in a matrixed organization
• A demonstrable ability to build, motivate, and sustain high-performing teams
• Ability to work under pressure and to take initiative to find solutions for problems
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and strong communication skills in German
