Zusammenfassung

Atlas Copco Group in Cologne, Germany, seeks a Project Leader to drive the development of new vacuum products and align them with the product roadmap. You will steer projects to meet market requirements, performance, and cost targets, delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifikationen

  • 3+ years project management experience in engineering/electronics/product development.
  • Ability to plan and deliver projects within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.

  • Plan and execute NPIs with timelines, budgets, risks.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigations to support project plans.
  • Track technical progress and escalate schedule, cost, or performance issues.
  • Translate Marketing Requirements into clear Product/Engineering specs.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
  • Support design reviews to confirm compliance with regulatory and customer needs.
  • Maintain Technical Construction Files and support regulatory submissions (e.g., CE, UL).
  • Prepare formal test reports documenting objectives, methods, setups, results, and conclusions.

Your role

As a Project Leader, your mission is to lead the development of new vacuum products for thrilling applications alongside the product roadmap. You will drive projects ensuring the design meets market requirements, performance, and cost targets and are delivered in time & budget.

We offer this position on either a full-time basis (40 hours per week) or a part-time basis (from 30 hours per week). Together, we'll find a working time model that suits your individual situation and the requirements of the role.

Your Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
  • Estimate timelines, budgets, and technical risks for NPI projects
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation actions to support project plans
  • Track technical progress and elevate schedule, cost, or performance issues
Requirements & Product Development
  • Translate Marketing Requirements into clear Product/Engineering Specifications
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure requirements are understood and delivered
  • Support design reviews to confirm compliance with functional, regulatory, and customer needs
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain complete, accurate Technical Construction Files (TCF)
  • Support creation of manuals, safety documentation, and regulatory submissions (e.g., CE, UL)
  • Prepare formal test reports documenting objectives, methods, setups, results, and conclusions
Your Skills And Experience

  • Demonstrate Project management experience, preferably within an engineering, electronics, or product development environment (3 years+)
  • Essential to demonstrate ability to plan and deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
  • Essential to demonstrate ability to priorities multiple activities and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels internally and externally Able to plan, estimate, and report on work progress
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to monitor project performance and communicate progress, risks, issues, and KPIs to management
  • Fluent written and spoken German & English
  • Experience or in-depth understanding on rotary machinery, experience with vacuum pump is preferable
