PROJECT ENGINEER (F/M/D)
Permanent contract – Wiesbaden
You’ll design and optimize photovoltaic systems, ensuring high technical performance, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness, from the feasibility phase to implementation.
Main responsibilities:
DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
- Design rooftop and ground-mounted photovoltaic systems, including layouts, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical sizing calculations and energy production simulations using tools such as PVsyst.
- Develop efficient and optimized technical solutions in line with project requirements.
FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
- Conduct site inspections and technical feasibility studies.
- Analyze shading, system performance, technical constraints, and project risks.
- Evaluate opportunities to maximize energy production and system efficiency.
DOCUMENTATION AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION
- Prepare the technical documentation required for authorization, procurement, and construction activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, grid connection, purchasing and construction) to ensure effective project integration
- Support, when requested, communication with external stakeholders.
COMPLIANCE, QUALITY AND STANDARDS
- Ensure that projects comply with applicable national and international standards, regulations and grid connection requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and design optimization processes.
- Operate in compliance with REDEN standards regarding Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.
SUPPORT FOR CONSTRUCTION AND COMMISSIONING
- Provide technical support during the construction, testing, and commissioning phases of the systems.
- Verify technical documents, installation quality, and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate in resolving technical issues during project execution.
Required skills:
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy or related discipline.
- Experience in the design and engineering of photovoltaic systems.
- Proficiency in photovoltaic design and simulation software (e.g. PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, network integration, and assembly structures.
- Familiarity with the relevant regulations and authorization processes.
