Zusammenfassung

EUROGATE Group in Germany seeks an experienced automation and OT specialist to drive cross-site technical standards for automated container handling systems.

You will design, implement, test, and commission solutions, ensure seamless integration with higher-level control systems, and collaborate with manufacturers, integrators, and internal teams to meet safety and performance requirements.

Willingness to travel to terminal locations in Germany and abroad is required.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in automation and operational technology (OT), preferably in a container terminal environment.
• Strong expertise in automated transport or handling systems.
• Experience implementing automation solutions (design, commissioning, optimization).
• In-depth understanding of control systems, industrial networks, and sensor technology, as well as relevant safety standards.
• Strong analytical skills, experience in complex project environments, and very good English skills with a basic knowledge of German.
• Willingness to travel to our terminal locations in Germany and abroad.

• Develop best practices for automation and contribute to their implementation in operational environments.

Do you want to actively drive the transformation of EUROGATE’s German terminals, define cross-site technical standards for automation solutions, and ensure their consistent implementation in complex projects? We are looking for you across multiple locations!

Your Responsibilities:

• You define and establish cross-site technical standards for automated container handling systems (e.g., ASCs, ATTs, AGVs) and ensure their consistent implementation across projects.
• You are responsible for the technical design of the systems and their implementation—from design and specification through integration, testing, and commissioning.
• You support the seamless integration of automated systems into higher-level control systems (e.g., Equipment Control System).
• You work closely with manufacturers, system integrators, and internal teams to meet and continuously improve safety and performance requirements.
• You develop best practices for automation and contribute to their implementation in operational environments.

Your Profile:
