Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Systems & Operational Technology (OT) Manager to lead the strategic management and optimization of Eurogate’s IT and OT systems portfolio. The role requires a unique blend of IT software expertise (11+ years) and Operational Technology experience (6+ years) to oversee complex, large-scale system landscapes supporting automated and semi-automated terminal operations.

As a key leader, you will manage the lifecycle, governance, and integration of IT/OT systems to ensure reliable, secure, and future-ready operations at Eurogate’s German terminals.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Oversee the IT & OT systems portfolio, aligning technologies with business objectives and terminal automation strategies.
• System Integration: Ensure seamless interoperability between enterprise IT systems (ERP, TOS, databases, applications) and OT platforms (control systems, PLCs, SCADA, automated equipment systems).
• Lifecycle Management: Define roadmaps for system upgrades, replacements, and new implementations to maintain operational excellence.
• Governance & Compliance: Establish frameworks for security, safety, and regulatory compliance (including OT cybersecurity).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, operations, engineering, and vendors to deliver high-performing and resilient IT/OT solutions.
• Risk & Performance Management: Identify and mitigate system risks, while monitoring performance metrics to ensure optimal system availability and reliability.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT/OT specialists, fostering cross-domain expertise and innovation.
• Project Leadership: Drive digitalization and automation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of system-related initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• 11+ years of experience in IT software (enterprise systems, applications, databases, integration platforms).
• 6+ years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) with a focus on industrial control systems, automation, and port/logistics or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of system integration between IT and OT landscapes.
• Expertise in cybersecurity standards and best practices for both IT and OT domains.
• Familiarity with terminal automation systems (TOS, equipment control, yard management, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication in English; German is a strong plus.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
