g2 Recruitment is partnering with a global leader to appoint three experienced Project Directors to lead hyperscale data centre work packages across Germany. You will own projects valued at €100m+ from construction through commissioning and handover, guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving performance.

The role requires exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering complex infrastructure in fast-paced environments.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as Project Director, Project Lead, or Senior Project Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong background delivering hyperscale data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Demonstrated track record managing €100m+ projects and leading large multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and commissioning processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage at board, client, and contractor level.
• History of delivering projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous.

Overview

We are partnering with a global leader in mission‑critical construction to support the delivery of multiple hyperscale data centre projects across Germany. Due to continued growth and a significant project pipeline, we are looking to appoint three experienced Project Directors to lead major work packages ranging from construction through to commissioning and client handover.

This is a unique opportunity to join one of Europe's most prestigious data centre programmes, taking ownership of projects valued in excess of €100m while working alongside some of the industry's most experienced delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the successful delivery of hyperscale data centre projects.


• Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction and execution through commissioning, testing, and final handover.


• Lead multidisciplinary teams across construction, engineering, commercial, planning, commissioning, and HSE functions.


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.


• Take accountability for project delivery against programme milestones, budget targets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.


• Drive project performance through effective risk management, resource planning, change control, and problem resolution.


• Ensure all works are delivered in line with company standards, local regulations, and industry‑leading health and safety procedures.


• Provide regular reporting to senior leadership, highlighting progress, key risks, commercial performance, and strategic objectives.


• Support the growth and development of project teams, fostering a high‑performance and safety‑first culture across the project.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating as a Project Director, Project Lead, or Senior Project Manager on major construction projects.


• Strong background delivering hyperscale data centres, mission‑critical facilities, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other complex infrastructure projects.


• Demonstrable experience managing projects valued at €100m+ and overseeing large multidisciplinary delivery teams.


• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, commercial management, and commissioning processes.


• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently at board, client, and contractor level.


• A track record of successfully delivering projects in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.


• Fluent English is essential; additional European languages would be advantageous.
