Electrification and grid projects are large, multi-site, and highly complex programs executed by international teams. The Project Cost Controller leads cost engineering, estimating, and cost control activities across the project lifecycle to ensure transparent, predictable, and commercially sound delivery. The role aligns Estimation, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, and Commercial functions—maintaining full cost–schedule integration, performance measurement, and early‑warning visibility to support decision‑making, profitability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control project costs, commitments, budgets, and forecasts
- Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC), Cost to Complete (CTC), cash flow, and cost trend analysis
- Perform variance, productivity, and performance analysis and provide regular cost reporting
- Support the integration of cost control with planning and scheduling, including progress measurement and EVM alignment
- Assist with estimating, pricing reviews, vendor quotations, and benchmarking
- Track and evaluate changes, claims, risks, and opportunities from a cost perspective
- Ensure consistency of cost coding, CBS/WBS structures, and reporting methodologies
- Support commercial discussions and stakeholder reporting with reliable cost data
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control tools, processes, and forecasting accuracy
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or similar
- Several years of experience in project cost control, cost engineering, or estimating within large industrial or infrastructure projects
- Experience in Electrification, HVDC, Substations, Grid Integration, or Oil & Gas is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, forecasting, and performance measurement
- Good understanding of WBS/CBS structures and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced skills in Excel; Power BI is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; fluency in German is a plus
- A proactive mindset and interest in continuous improvement

- AACE CCP or comparable certification
