The Medical Faculty is seeking to fill the position, starting as soon as possible, of a Professor (W2 fixed term) (m/f/d) - Open Topic

Within the Faculty of Medicine's key research areas ageing, neurosciences, oncology and trauma (open topic):

The University is seeking to increase the proportion of women in research and teaching and particularly encourage qualified female scientists to apply for this position. Severely disabled applicants with equal aptitude will be given preferential consideration.

The professorship is intended to support highly qualified early-career researchers at universities and is limited to a term of 6 years. The University Medical Center Ulm seeks to strengthen its scientific profile by recruiting outstanding researchers; in particular, exceptional talent including those from abroad is encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate an independent research profile, evidenced by high-impact publications and the acquisition of external funding. The research focus should lie within the core research areas of the Faculty of Medicine: aging, neurosciences, oncology, and trauma. Candidates are expected to be willing to collaborate in research networks within the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Ulm, as well as to help shape new collaborative initiatives. Furthermore, active participation in the development and implementation of new teaching concepts for the Faculty of Medicine’s degree programs is expected.

Employment requirements are completed university studies in life sciences as well as teaching aptitude, a doctoral degree and further pertinent scientific achievements
