Responsibilities / Tasks
- Take ownership in identifying leads and help developing these into tangible sales opportunities
- Be responsible for managing the sales pipeline
- Participate on international tradeshows as product specialist, build up and maintain customer relationships
- Act as the primary link between offices, customers, agents, and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineers, Planning, Trial Centre) to ensure a smooth sales trajectory
- Support projects such as the implementation of guided sales methodologies, enhancement of quotation quality, and development of presentation materials together with marketing
- Central management of key global accounts for slicing & packaging, maintaining high-level relationships and understanding their unique business needs
- Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, actively pursuing opportunities to deepen GEA's partnership with these accounts
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent in a relevant technical or commercial discipline
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a sales role, mechanical engineering within the manufacturing industry
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering specifically slicing & packaging for food applications
- Proven track record as a proactive sales engineer, possessing strong initiative, persuasive communication skills, and high commercial acumen
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy in all sales-related activities
- Flexible, regarding working hours in terms of different time-zones to accommodate international travel and varying customer needs
- Fluent language skills in English and German (written and spoken); proficiency in French or Spanish is beneficial
