Zusammenfassung

A leading engineering firm in Hessen is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer with a solid background in mechanical engineering and strong sales skills. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, participating in international tradeshows, and fostering customer relationships. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 3 years of relevant sales experience, along with fluent English and German skills. Up to 50% international travel is required.

Responsibilities / Tasks
  • Take ownership in identifying leads and help developing these into tangible sales opportunities
  • Be responsible for managing the sales pipeline
  • Participate on international tradeshows as product specialist, build up and maintain customer relationships
  • Act as the primary link between offices, customers, agents, and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineers, Planning, Trial Centre) to ensure a smooth sales trajectory
  • Support projects such as the implementation of guided sales methodologies, enhancement of quotation quality, and development of presentation materials together with marketing
  • Central management of key global accounts for slicing & packaging, maintaining high-level relationships and understanding their unique business needs
  • Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, actively pursuing opportunities to deepen GEA's partnership with these accounts
Your Profile / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent in a relevant technical or commercial discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a sales role, mechanical engineering within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering specifically slicing & packaging for food applications
  • Proven track record as a proactive sales engineer, possessing strong initiative, persuasive communication skills, and high commercial acumen
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy in all sales-related activities
  • Flexible, regarding working hours in terms of different time-zones to accommodate international travel and varying customer needs
  • Fluent language skills in English and German (written and spoken); proficiency in French or Spanish is beneficial
