Zusammenfassung

LAPP, a global leader in cable and connection technology headquartered in Stuttgart, seeks a Product & Portfolio Manager for data connectors. You will shape market strategies, develop costed product plans, and drive cross-functional initiatives with international teams.

Key responsibilities include leading cost analyses, defining product specs, and supporting from concept to series production. Travel ~20% internationally; fluency in German and English is required.

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration.

• Support product definition to finished product and participate in customer/supplier visits.
• Create product requirements specifications and profitability analyses.

Your tasks

• Monitor and assess market developments for data connectors in close collaboration with our international sales subsidiaries
• Independently develop recommendations for action and drive initiatives for the necessary portfoliomanagement measures
• Generate ideas for new products and lead development projects through to series production, with a focus on cost, product features, and quality
• Prepare target cost calculations and consistently track them throughout the entire development process
• Develop marketing plans, sales forecasts, and pricing strategies for the products under your responsibility
• Support the process from defining product specifications to the finished product and participate in customer and supplier visits
• Assist in the preparation of product requirements specifications, as well as profitability and business case analyses for the respective products
• Regularly align with regional teams regarding customer requirements, potential suppliers, and relevant market and technology trends

Your profile

• Successfully completed a degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, take ownership, and are motivated to make an impact in an agile environment
• Have experience conducting market, technology, and trend analyses and possess a strategic understanding of product and portfolio management
• Bring a solid understanding of business plans, target costing, and profitability analyses
• Have practical expertise in the data connector market, along with a strong understanding of applications, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics
• Have relevant experience with data connector portfolios, particularly in product positioning, market trends, and key industry requirements
• Are proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrate an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Excel through customer orientation, strong communication skills, teamwork, assertiveness, and organizational talent
• Are willing to undertake international business travel of approximately 20%
• Have fluent German and English language skills
