Zusammenfassung

LAPP sucht in Stuttgart eine/n Zertifizierungsverantwortliche/n zur eigenständigen Steuerung des gesamten Zertifizierungsprozesses für Produkte in Zusammenarbeit mit Entwicklung, Produktmanagement, Produktion und Einkauf.

Sie verfügen über mehrjährige Zertifizierungserfahrung, gute UL-Kenntnisse, Normenkenntnisse sowie sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse. Flexible Arbeitszeitmodelle und familienfreundliches Umfeld gehören dazu.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes technisches oder wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Studium bzw. vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in Produktzertifizierungen und Freigabeprozessen.
• Gute Kenntnisse von UL und internationalen Zulassungsverfahren.
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Aufgaben

• Eigenverantwortliche Koordination des Zertifizierungsprozesses von Antrag bis Zulassung.
• Technische Abstimmung mit Entwicklung, Produktmanagement, Produktion, Einkauf und Laboren.
• Bestimmung von Zertifizierungsanforderungen gemäß Normen.
• Unterstützung bei Erstellung und Zusammenstellung relevanter Dokumentation.
• Verbesserung des Monitorings und regelmäßiges Reporting der Zertifizierungsaktivitäten.
• Aktive Teilnahme an Normungsausschüssen und Arbeitsgruppen.
• Unterstützung bei Audits zur Aufrechterhaltung der Zertifizierungen.
• Identifikation neuer Zertifizierungsanforderungen für Produkte/Markte.

Your tasks

• Independent responsibility for and coordination of the entire certification process, from application to approval, for LAPP products in the fields of cables, cable management, connectors, and industrial communication in collaboration with certification bodies
• Providing technically sound communication and coordination with all relevant stakeholders in product development (national and international), product management, production sites, purchasing, laboratory/testing, and other departments to ensure an efficient certification process
• Determining product certification requirements based on the applicable regulatory specifications issued by certification bodies
• Supporting the preparation and compilation of relevant documentation required for the certification process in close cooperation with product developers and product managers
• Improving the tracking of certification activities and introducing structured, regular reporting on the status and progress of certifications across individual projects
• Actively participating in selected standardization committees and working groups, ensuring the representation of LAPP's positions and contributing to the development, alignment, and continuous improvement of relevant standards and regulations
• Supporting audits conducted to monitor and maintain certified products
• Identifying required certifications for new products and markets and monitoring existing approvals and certifications

Your profile

• Successfully completed degree in engineering or business administration (Master’s, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree) and/or an advanced technical qualification with relevant professional experience or a comparable qualification
• Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering
• Several years of professional experience in product certification, approval processes, and conformity assessment of technical products
• Proven experience working with international certification bodies, particularly UL (Underwriters Laboratories), as well as solid knowledge of relevant approval and certification procedures
• Sound knowledge of national and international standards, directives, and regulations and their application within the product development process
• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position is desirable
• High level of initiative, commitment, sense of responsibility, assertiveness, and goal orientation
• Strong motivation to independently manage complex tasks and develop innovative solutions using digital methods, such as data process automation and AI-powered tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, combined with a confident presence in an international environment
• Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
• Proficiency in common Microsoft Office applications
