About Make Work Flow
Make Work Flow GmbH is a Hamburg-based company on a mission to make physical workflows fully visible, fast, and efficient. We combine lean process expertise with IoT hardware and custom software to give manufacturing and supply chain teams real-time control over their operations. Our product portfolio includes sample.flow® (sample tracking for the fashion industry), production.flow® (production tracking e.g. for footwear & fashion), and onepiece.flow® (single‑piece flow digitalization for the SME factory floor).
The Role
You work directly with the CEO & Founder to bring the Make Work Flow product vision to life across our entire portfolio. You translate strategic direction into a clear roadmap, break it down into precise specifications, and ensure our development team in Amman has everything they need to build the right things — correctly and on time. You are the operational backbone of product at MWF: structured, reliable, and deeply connected to both the business and the build.
Responsibilities
- Translate product strategy and CEO direction into a structured, prioritised roadmap across all portfolio products.
- Own and maintain product backlogs — well‑defined, prioritised, and visible to the whole team at all times.
- Support pricing and packaging decisions with structured analysis and clear product breakdowns.
- Make confident prioritisation calls within the strategic guardrails set by the CEO.
- Track milestones, manage cross‑product dependencies, and flag risks early.
- Write tech packs and product specifications that the Amman development team can build from without follow‑up questions.
- Translate business goals and user needs into clear user stories and unambiguous acceptance criteria.
- Act as the primary product interface to the development team — Hamburg defines, Amman builds.
- Coordinate closely with our technical lead in Amman (Suhaib) to ensure smooth handoffs and delivery.
- Lead backlog refinement and sprint reviews — keeping ceremonies lean and outcome‑focused.
- Analyse client requirements and translate them into product decisions — not one‑off customisations.
- Join client conversations and demos to collect product feedback directly from the source.
- Understand the pain points of manufacturing and supply chain teams deeply enough to challenge assumptions.
- Communicate product status, changes, and decisions clearly to all stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Proven track record as a Product Manager or Product Owner — ideally in B2B SaaS or industrial software.
- Experience working across multiple products or workstreams simultaneously; portfolio thinking is a strong advantage.
- Hands‑on experience writing specs and user stories that engineering teams can act on independently.
- Experience steering remote or distributed development teams — you know how to make async collaboration work.
- Comfortable in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments where you set the structure rather than inherit it.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical fluency: you communicate with developers at eye level and understand what you are asking them to build.
- Strong command of agile methodologies; experienced with PM tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Linear, or Notion.
- Analytically sharp — you use data to inform decisions, not to decorate them.
- Clear, structured communicator — in writing, in specs, and in rooms with both engineers and executives.
- Excellent English; German is a strong plus for our DACH client base.
What Sets You Apart
- You are a strong executor who brings order to complexity without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- You ask the right questions before writing a single line of spec.
- You know the difference between a product decision and a client favour — and you hold that line.
- You thrive working closely with a founder: you are comfortable with a strong vision and know how to operationalise it.
What We Offer
- A central role in a company actively transforming from consulting to product — your work shapes what MWF becomes.
- Direct access to the CEO & Founder — short feedback loops, real decisions, no layers.
- International setup: Hamburg headquarters with an agile development team in Amman, Jordan.
- A lean team that moves fast and values clear thinking over process theatre.
- A product portfolio with real clients, real manufacturing processes, and real growth potential.
- Competitive compensation aligned to experience & lots of fun.
