Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor seeks a senior professional to lead US nuclear product licensing initiatives in a senior regulatory role. You will steer licensing deliverables from concept to operation while aligning with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

You will manage a team of professionals, coordinate with USNRC and industry bodies, and influence licensing strategy and risk management across projects.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline required.
  • 8+ years in nuclear regulated design, operations or licensing.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership/management role.
  • Experience with USNRC Regulations 10 CFR Parts 50, 52, and 21.
  • Experience leading design certification, construction permit, or COL applications.
  • Proven ability to communicate with USNRC, ACS, and senior NRC staff.

Jobbeschreibung

  • Lead and execute US nuclear product licensing activities
  • Develop and optimize licensing deliverables from concept through production and operation
  • Identify and quantify regulatory and engineering requirements
  • Create alternate licensing concepts and perform regulatory analyses and evaluations
  • Select and implement licensing plans and deliverables
  • Verify that the licensing basis is properly verified, integrated, and executed
  • Lead communications with the USNRC, ACS, and senior NRC staff members
  • Handle administrative tasks and support schedule planning
  • Manage work with urgency while maintaining high quality and safety standards
  • Review applicable regulatory and industry standards and communicate them to the design community
  • Participate in product compliance and certification work, including testing and design reviews
  • Interact with engineering firms and governmental agencies to obtain product certification or qualification
  • Manage a small to medium team of senior professionals and others
  • Influence strategy, resource control, and policy formulation for the area of responsibility
  • Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Make decisions and handle complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering tasks
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity
  • Coordinate Regulatory Affairs interfaces with other GVH teams
  • Support assigned industry organizations such as NEI, INPO, IAEA, and WNA
  • Develop working knowledge of nuclear licensing basis documents, regulatory correspondence records, BWRX-300 design, and licensing risks
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in nuclear regulated design, operations or licensing
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership/management role
  • Experience in USNRC Regulations 10 CFR Parts 50, 52, and 21
  • Experience leading development of a design certification application, construction permit application, or combined operating license application
  • Successful experience leading oral and written communications with the USNRC, ACS, and senior NRC staff members
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including NRC required background check
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (10%)
  • Ability to assess potential impacts of the regulatory landscape on business and customers
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including facilitation
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Clear, credible communication on technical issues
  • Strong program/project management skills
  • PC proficiency
  • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
