United States Digital Space LLC in Munich seeks a Product Engineer to design what you build, ship features from idea to production, and develop AI agents that read digital twins and run optimizations for real industrial sites.
You will own full-stack tasks from API and database to optimization jobs, with a focus on Vue/React front-ends, Node.js back-ends, and PostgreSQL data, while delivering production-grade AI capabilities.
Invest in Values. Produce in Freedom. Boost Europe.
Europe can reindustrialize if we bring together AI X energy market opportunities X industrial processes. Europe's largest industrial companies – together around 2% of Europe's total energy demand – make their energy decisions with our Energy OS.
As a Product Engineer, you build that product: you design what you build, ship features from idea to production, and develop AI agents that read digital twins, run optimizations, explain plans and will soon act autonomously. No ticket queue – real impact at real industrial sites, with short feedback loops straight from the customer.
Ship user-facing features across our four modules – Digital Twin, Designer, Operator and Portfolio Manager – from concept and design to production.
Build agents that read digital twins, execute optimizations, explain plans and eventually act autonomously – and deploy them into individual customer installations, evaluated against real customer data.
Treat hallucinations as an engineering problem – with guardrails, grounding and evals.
Turn complex simulation outputs into clear visualizations – time series, charts, maps.
Go down the stack when needed – API, database, optimization service interfaces – and own the path to production: CI/CD, services, jobs.
Keep data streams from customer IT/OT systems, market data, weather data and public APIs running reliably.
Improve how we ship through tooling, testing and agent workflows.
Degree in computer science, software engineering, business informatics or a comparable STEM qualification.
2–5 years building customer-facing products – ideally at companies known for software craftsmanship. A proven track record of taking complex features from idea to launch.
Strong TypeScript fundamentals with Vue or React; comfortable across browser, Node and PostgreSQL. Experience with containers, CI/CD and production databases.
You've shipped LLM features to real users and understand their costs and failure modes. Claude Code, agents and subagents are part of your daily loop.
You discuss design details, cut scope without being asked and take on unclear work – high ownership, low ceremony.
No prior knowledge of industrial energy required – but the appetite for it is.
Competitive base salary plus equity – we set your level during the process, not based on your CV.
Direct access to the Point 9 and Earlybird networks – including formats for sparring, mentoring and further education.
Once a year, the whole team goes on a workation. Including exclusive exchanges with our Visionary Voices (e.g. Robert Habeck, Kitty Mayo, James Vincent).
Full flexibility for your fitness and health with Urban Sports Club.
Visit industrial sites and see your software running in real operations.
Vue, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud (managed services, Kubernetes for optimization jobs, GitLab CI), LangGraph across multiple models, plus Julia and Python for optimization and forecasting. You don't need to know Julia – just don't be scared of it.
Small team, direct communication, no hierarchy layers. In-person onboarding, then hybrid from Munich, Düsseldorf or Münster.
