Product Engineer – Geospatial & ML Systems (m/f/d)
As anProduct Engineer, you'll join one of our clients throughMeyer Talent Acquisition andown outcomes - not just tickets. You will work across our software ecosystem to build the internal platforms and user-facing tools that process, visualize, and deliver the world's most accurate street-level geospatial data. You speak to users and stakeholders directly, define what to build, and ship it - using the full modern AI toolset to move fast without cutting corners. This is not a role for people who need requirements handed to them. You'll work at the intersection of our .NET-based enterprise infrastructure, our Python-driven ML research, and our TypeScript/React frontends - and you'll be expected to navigate all three with confidence and product intuition.
Key Responsibilities
- Product ownership: Take problems from first principles - talk to the right people, define the right solution, and ship it. Write your own specs and tickets.
- Full-stack delivery: Build and maintain scalable backend services (.NET /Python) and highly responsive frontends (React/TypeScript) capable of rendering complex 2D and 3D geospatial data (imagery, LiDAR, vector overlays).
- ML enablement: Collaborate with the ML team to build Human-in-the-Loop systems, annotation pipelines, and model monitoring dashboards.
- AI-native engineering: Use AI-powered development tools (agentic IDEs,LLM coding assistants, automated testing) as a core part of your daily workflow - not occasionally, but as the default way you work.
- Geospatial data: Manage the lifecycle of geospatial data, ensuring it is optimized for both human interaction and algorithmic processing.
Technical Requirements
- Backend: Proficiency in .NET (Core/8) and/or Python (FastAPI/Django) for enterprise logic and data processing.
- Frontend: Strong experience with React and TypeScript. WebGL or Three.js is a significant advantage for geospatial rendering work.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development (Azure stack).
- AI-first mindset: You are an active user of agentic coding tools and can demonstrate how they change the way you work - not just that you've tried them.
- Product thinking: You are as comfortable talking to a stakeholder about what to build as you are in a code review. High agency, low ego, outcome- driven.
What We Offer
- Impact: You are one of the founding engineers of the Vienna office - early hires shape the culture and have outsized influence on how we build.
- Diverse problems: From internal automation tools to high-scale geospatial data platforms - your work will never be repetitive.
- AI-native environment: Direct access to state-of-the-art ML workflows and a genuine seat at the table on future tech stack decisions.
- Flexible working: Async-first, written communication culture. Vienna office anchor day Wednesday; Tuesday/Thursday common.
- English working language - German not required.
