Product Design Engineer (f/m/d)
Responsibilities
- Development and design of innovative mechanical seal solutions in 3D CAD, including variant management for various product families
- Creation and maintenance of CAD data, assemblies, and bills of materials throughout the entire process chain using Solid Edge, Teamcenter, and SAP
- Management and implementation of design projects, as well as development of standardized solutions to ensure efficient engineering processes
- Performance of technical calculations and product-specific engineering designs
- Continuous enhancement of modular design systems in close collaboration with Product Management
- Knowledge transfer and technical support for international teams
- Close cooperation with Sales, Service, and Reliability Engineering to develop customer-oriented solutions
- In the long term, assumption of an expanded technical role with responsibility for technical customer inquiries, complaint handling, and the professional development of the team
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification; alternatively, further training as a State-Certified Technician (m/f/d) with relevant hands-on experience
- Practical experience in design engineering or a strong interest in technical development tasks, gained through professional work, projects, or academic theses
- Proficient in the use of modern 3D CAD systems, preferably Solid Edge
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product development
- Knowledge of pump technology and/or sealing technology is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking skills, combined with a structured, solution-oriented, and self-driven approach to work
- Excellent communication skills, intercultural awareness, and very good English language proficiency
- Enjoyment of working in an international environment and willingness to undertake occasional business travel
