Responsibilities

• Work with an experienced team of health actuaries to develop and implement innovative product and pricing solutions for health insurance products across diverse global markets.
• With strong problem solving and analytical acumen, understand existing business challenges and develop data-driven solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Analyse and model data, calculate cost trends, and identify risk factors.
• Support Allianz units worldwide in pricing health coverages and rolling out pricing solutions.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts and analyses to internal and external stakeholders in an understandable way.
• Stay abreast of market dynamics and regulatory changes across countries to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
• Impact how Allianz is positioned in health globally.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Master degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience as a pricing actuary in health or property & casualty (P&C) insurance, with a focus on data-driven pricing strategies.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in statistical modeling (GLMs, GAMs) and familiarity with machine learning methods (GBMs, Random Forests) is a plus.
• Programming Skills: Hands-on experience with data analysis and modeling using R (preferred) or Python.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving capabilities for complex product development and pricing issues.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs.
• Ownership & Initiative: Self-organized with a proactive approach to delivering results.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
