Procurement Officer

Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits (inc 10% bonus)

Location: Plymouth Area

Hybrid role - 1 day per week on site once settled

Butler Rose is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the Plymouth area, for an experienced Procurement Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic business, playing a critical role in the procurement function and contributing directly to business performance.

The Role:

As Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement function by sourcing and securing a wide range of goods and services. You will ensure best value and compliance with internal policies while managing supplier relationships and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading procurement activities to deliver optimal value for money
  • Running competitive tendering processes and negotiating contract terms
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving continuous improvement
  • Managing supplier performance and resolving disputes where necessary
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfil requirements
  • Supporting procurement systems and reporting requirements
About You:
  • Proven procurement experience in a relevant environment
  • A minimum of CIPS Level 4 (working toward Level 6)
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills
  • Experience with SAP and e-tendering systems
  • The right to work in the UK
