The role focuses on strategic procurement across hyperscale projects, leading supplier relationships from tender to award, and guiding multi-disciplinary teams across construction, commercial, engineering and project management.

Fluent German and English are essential, with a proven track record on large-scale construction procurements exceeding €500m. Start ASAP, DOE.

Aufgaben

• Lead procurement activities across major data centre construction projects, managing supplier and subcontractor relationships from tender through to award.
• Provide commercial oversight across multiple work packages, maintaining a helicopter view of project delivery and supporting key project decisions.
• Manage and develop procurement teams whilst coordinating with construction, commercial, engineering, and project management stakeholders.
• Drive procurement strategy, contract negotiations, cost optimisation initiatives, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and handover phases.

I'm currently working with a leading data centre developer involved in some of Germany's largest hyperscale developments. Due to continued growth, we are looking to speak with experienced Procurement Managers seeking a more strategic role with greater project-wide influence and team leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement activities across major data centre construction projects, managing supplier and subcontractor relationships from tender through to award.
• Provide commercial oversight across multiple work packages, maintaining a helicopter view of project delivery and supporting key project decisions.
• Manage and develop procurement teams whilst coordinating with construction, commercial, engineering, and project management stakeholders.
• Drive procurement strategy, contract negotiations, cost optimisation initiatives, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and handover phases.
• Extensive experience as a Procurement Manager, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role within the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement, contracts, commercial management, and cost control on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience leading procurement teams and managing key stakeholder relationships.
• Proven track record working with major contractors, developers, or EPC organisations.
• Fluent German and English.
• Experience on hyperscale data centre, mission-critical, infrastructure, energy, or industrial construction projects.
• Exposure to HV infrastructure, MEP systems, commissioning activities, and multi-contractor environments.
• Experience working on projects exceeding €500m in value.
• Degree qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
