Job summary

Voith Group in Munich seeks a Process Technologist (m|f|d) for water treatment to design, optimize and implement industrial water and wastewater processes. You will select technologies, perform mass and energy balances, and support pilot trials with the engineering team.

The role requires a degree in chemical/process engineering or related fields, strong analytical skills, and willingness to travel internationally (≈30%). Fluent German and English are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Technology, Biotechnology or comparable qualification.
• Strong process/chemical engineering expertise, ideally with experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment.
• Sound knowledge of physical, chemical, or biological treatment technologies and their application in industrial environments.
• Experience in designing, optimizing, and evaluating process engineering systems and equipment.
• Confident handling of process calculations as well as mass and energy balances.

Your Responsibilities

Your Profile

• You successfully completed a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Technology, Biotechnology, or a comparable qualification.
• Strong process or chemical engineering expertise, ideally with experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment.
• Sound knowledge of physical, chemical, or biological treatment technologies and their application in industrial environments.
• Experience in designing, optimizing, and evaluating process engineering systems and equipment.
• Confident handling of process calculations as well as mass and energy balances.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Structured and self-driven working style, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Very good German and English language skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for project-related assignments (approximately 30%).
