Your Responsibilities
- As part of your role, you will oversee coating systems used to produce functional thin films for acousto-optic applications
- You will continuously optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve their stability, quality, and efficiency
- In the context of technical innovations, customer-specific requirements, and R&D projects, you will develop new process recipes and equipment parameters
- To ensure consistent quality, you will carry out measurement and testing procedures and evaluate the results
- Your responsibilities will also include the clear, accurate, and thorough documentation of test reports, measurement records, and inspection plans
- By statistically analyzing process and measurement data, you will identify improvement opportunities and derive appropriate measures
- Within internal and external development projects, you will provide technical support and contribute to their coordination
- In close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Development, you will address process-related questions and discuss test results
Your Profile
- You have completed a master’s degree in a technical or natural sciences discipline, such as materials science, process engineering, or a comparable field
- Ideally, you have experience in thin-film technology, coating technology, vacuum technology, process development, and optical metrology
- Familiarity with measurement and testing procedures as well as technical documentation is also an advantage
- You are able to analyze process and measurement data and derive potential improvements from your findings
- A minimum of C1-level German and B2-level English is required for this position
- Careful documentation and precise work in accordance with defined specifications come naturally to you
