Job summary

Flynn and Chase, a European infrastructure and energy transition investor, is growing its Munich investment team and seeks an Associate to work across new investments and existing portfolio companies in the DACH region. You will handle the full investment cycle—origination, screening, valuation, due diligence, structuring, financing and execution—while building detailed financial models.

Fluent German and English, 2–5 years in infra PE or related fields, and a strong degree in finance,

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in infrastructure or energy private equity, M&A, project finance or investment banking.
• Strong financial modelling skills, with exposure to renewable energy or other infrastructure assets.
• Experience on live transactions, with a good grasp of deal processes and documentation.
• University degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

• Work on full investment cycle: origination, screening, valuation, due diligence, structuring, financing and execution.
• Build and own detailed financial models, including project-finance, platform and portfolio models, scenario analysis and returns analysis.
• Prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior partners.
• Manage external advisers, including legal, technical, tax and financial due diligence providers.
• Help arrange debt financing and work with lenders on new and existing assets.
• Support portfolio companies with value creation, business planning, refinancing and add-on acquisitions.
• Monitor German and European market, regulatory and tender developments to identify new opportunities.

The Role

Your Profile

• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure or energy private equity, M&A, project finance, transaction services or investment banking
• Strong financial modelling skills, ideally with exposure to renewable energy or other infrastructure assets
• Experience on live transactions, with a good grasp of deal processes and documentation
• A strong university degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related field
• Fluent German and English
• Commercially minded, structured and hands‑on, and comfortable in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment
