Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Power Control and Automation Principal Engineer to serve as SME for the PC&A program.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, set engineering standards and best practices, and mentor engineers and technicians. The role focuses on designing IEC 61850 networks, energy management controllers, and protective relays, developing commissioning scripts, and ensuring safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of work experience required.
• Masters and/or additional technical certifications a plus.

The Power Control and Automation (PC&A) Principal Engineer is the subject matter expert (SME) for FTI's PC&A program. The individual serves as the technical linkage between internal and external clients, operating alongside business development and project management internal partners. This person provides leadership/mentorship to cross-functional teams and less experienced engineers/technicians. This person effectively sets standards, best practices, and facilitates lessons learned with the engineering teams

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Masters and/or additional technical certifications a plus

Travel: 10-15%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads technical scope of complex Power Control and Automation (PC&A) projects involving a team of technical staff.
• Provides subject matter expert level analysis for application of FTI PC&A solutions and services.
• Defines sequence of operations and creates detailed control narratives for large and complex power distribution and microgrid solutions.
• Designs IEC 61850 network architecture and system specifications
• Develops configuration and programing for energy management system controllers and protective relays
• Creates commissioning scripts and project documentation packages
• Effectively communicates and engages with senior management levels of both internal and external clients.
• Key internal client families include our Geographies, Large Strategic, Solutions, Excellerate and Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) divisions.
• Engages and works well with project management, business development, construction, marketing, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, sourcing, and external team members.
• Interprets and applies NEC, NFPA and OSHA requirements pertaining to safe work practices.
• Provides engineering guidance and critique to ensure proper risk assessment, communication, and traceability to design outputs.
• Establishes engineering standard drawing and assembly specification documents for all phases of preconstruction (conceptual through issue for construction).
• Acts as a technical liaison for all preconstruction activities: engineering, VDC and estimating.
• Assists in development of final project proposals, scope definition, and pricing of engineering scope.
• Manages engineering scope of project budget.
• Manages project quality and incorporates technical lessons learned.
• Troubleshoots technical issues during project execution using prior experience with root cause analysis.
• Assists in training and coaching of cross-functional personnel.
• Maintains FTI's competitive position and profitability by helping to create a strategic vision for FTI's PC&A program.
• Focuses on emerging technology, supplier integration, and resources to bring innovative products to market through projects & programs, resulting in accelerated revenue.
• Collaborates with regional business partners to identify incremental target prospects and research needed, as well as key outreach strategies and tactics to secure new account meetings while nurturing existing relationships with clients.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
