North Northamptonshire Council is looking for a Chartered Surveyor to join the Estates Team as Principal Disposals Surveyor. You will lead disposals, acquisitions and asset management across the corporate portfolio, delivering capital receipts and strategic development opportunities.

You will manage complex negotiations, engage with developers, agents and stakeholders, and provide expert reports to senior officers. Flexible hybrid working is available.

Qualifikationen

• Chartered Surveyor with significant experience in land and property disposals, acquisitions and asset management.
• Experience in larger housing and mixed-use development schemes.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, able to present clear reports to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage a broad portfolio of casework and work independently.
• Excellent communication with developers, agents, solicitors and stakeholders.

This is a key role responsible for delivering capital receipts through the disposal of surplus land and property while providing expert asset management and surveying advice across the Council's corporate property portfolio. What will you be doing? As Principal Disposals Surveyor, you will lead on a diverse and challenging caseload involving the disposal, acquisition and management of land and property assets. Your work will directly contribute to funding the Council's capital programme and ensuring the best use of the corporate estate. Key responsibilities will include:

You will be a Chartered Surveyor with significant experience in land and property disposals, acquisitions and asset management, including larger housing and mixed-use development schemes. You'll be confident managing complex negotiations, building strong relationships with developers, agents, solicitors and stakeholders, and providing expert property advice across a diverse range of projects. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety and can manage a broad portfolio of casework, from the disposal of strategic development sites and mixed-use schemes to the acquisition of land and property for service needs, landlord and tenant matters, and responding to enquiries from Council services. You'll be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of producing clear reports and presenting recommendations to senior leaders and committees. You will be able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver results within challenging timescales, while also contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
