Zusammenfassung

Communications Systems Design Engineer is sought to join our Wireless Systems Group in Germany to design and implement the physical layer for low power wireless products, working with a cross-functional global team to tackle complex technical challenges.

The role involves designing, developing, and simulating PHY-layer modem algorithms, validating system models, and coordinating with RF/Analog, Digital, Validation and Software teams for bring-up and testing of test chips and SOCs.

Qualifikationen

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of wireless PHY design and implementation experience.
• Experience leading modem and DFE subsystems is highly desirable.

Communications Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a Communications Systems Design Engineer with a strong background in communication theory and signal processing. The successful candidate will join our Wireless Systems Group in Germany and as a senior member of the team, will be responsible for the systems design and implementation of physical layer for low power wireless products. You will be working with a cross-functional global team in a collaborative environment that we take pride in. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and simulate communication system and PHY-layer modem algorithms for wireless applications.
• Develop and validate system models, fixed-point models, and hardware-aware algorithm implementations
• Translate product and system requirements into clear technical specifications for RF, digital, software, and validation teams
• Work closely with RF/Analog, Digital, Validation and Software teams for bringing-up, testing and troubleshooting of test chips and SOC's
• Simulate communication systems and participate in digital block design
• Participate in RFIP design regarding block specs & controls

Requirements/Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and implementation of wireless PHY systems
• Technical leadership experience in owning the Modem and DFE sub system is highly desired
• Strong background in signal processing and communication theory
• Experience in MATLAB, C/C++ and fixed-point/cycle-true programming and simulation
• Experience on Modem and digital front-end blocks design
• Experience in IC design production support, RFIP calibration and testing
• Experience in Bluetooth, UWB and/or WiFi is an advantage
• A team player; able to identify and resolve technical and schedule issues with team members.
• Team management skills would be an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials effectively and produce good quality engineering documentation.
