The Institute of Algebra, Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics welcomes applications for 4 positions starting October 1, 2026 or earlier : Postdoctoral Researcher in Arithmetic Geometry (salary scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)

These fixed-term positions are for a duration of 24 months.

Your role
  • You will conduct your own independent research and contribute to the mathematical activities in the group of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Derenthal or Prof. Dr. Ben Heuer.
  • You will contribute to the teaching of the department (4 hours per week).

The successful candidate must hold a university degree in Mathematics. Furthermore, a doctoral degree with high academic achievement in arithmetic geometry is expected.
