Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will work under the guidance of Dr. Pascal Geldsetzer at Heidelberg University and Stanford University. The fellow will lead analyses using large‑scale electronic health record data from the United Kingdom, United States, Denmark, and Germany to determine the real‑life effectiveness of medications, lifestyle advice, and health services interventions on health and health system outcomes. Methods include quasi‑experimental techniques, descriptive epidemiology, and randomized trials. The fellow is expected to publish in high‑impact peer‑reviewed journals and will have the opportunity to supervise PhD, Master, and medical students.

Eligibility & Prerequisites
  • Doctoral degree with quantitative training or research experience
  • Training and experience in quasi‑experimental methods is a plus
  • Strong coding skills in R, Stata, or other statistical software packages
  • Good communication skills in English (knowledge of German is not necessary)
