Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin is seeking a Postdoc (f/m/d) in Development of All-Perovskite Triple Junction Solar Cells to advance PV research. You will manufacture high‑efficiency perovskite triple cells, characterize devices, and coordinate experiments with partners.
We expect a doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, physics or engineering, hands-on thin‑film processing of perovskite solar cells, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Reference No.: SE 2026/14
Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) conducts research on energy materials and develops next-generation photovoltaic technologies from materials to devices. The Department of Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells develops metal-halide perovskite solar cells and has achieved several world records for perovskite-silicon and perovskite-CIGS tandem solar cells. Our current research focuses on advancing all-perovskite multi-junction solar cells by investigating material properties and charge-carrier dynamics, developing new device configurations, improving operational stability, and scaling up device areas. In this postdoctoral position, you will contribute to the development of perovskite-based triple-junction solar cells. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced scientist with expertise in perovskite solar cells to join our international and multidisciplinary team.
At Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, you benefit from state-of-the-art research infrastructure, an international and collaborative working environment, and a wide range of opportunities for your professional development:
Fixed-term contract for 24 months.
The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
